After
being fascinated by the inimitable expressive
power with which Kinski interpreted
Villon’s depraved ballads and songs,
Thomas Fuchs simply had to put these
lyrics to music. He recorded the voice
of Kinski and began to compose piece
for piece with synthesizers and other
musical instruments. " It was so important
for me to stay very close to the text
and to Kinsky’s voice, to hear and speak."
The CD is also the soundtrack to the
film of the same name.
